Buzzy post-punks HighSchool have returned with their new single, ‘149’. They’ve crafted a track that feels like a hazy, nostalgic fever-dream that matches its music video (shot on a double-decker bus around London). There’s an addictive energy emanating from the repeating guitar riff, pounding groove of the drums, and the slightly distorted lead vocal. The track is “about slow, teenage suburban summers - long, dry days, sprinklers on cracked lawns, the smell of cut grass and cheap beer, halogen-lit tennis courts and supermarket car parks.
